The Venture Week In Review And A Look Ahead

From AltaGas Camp Near McLymont Hydroelectric Facility, SW of Eskay Creek

The month of October during bull market years has mostly been very kind to the Venture over the last decade or so, and October 2017 is shaping up to be no different.

Venture volume and momentum are increasing with the Index now at a 4-month high and rapidly closing in on a key final resistance band before the uptrend intensifies.

Below, the infamous volcanic “Cone”, and a glacier-fed lake (also unnamed), immediately south of Nickel Mountain.  Someone has mused about the possibility of organizing the first-ever pond hockey game in the Eskay Camp next to Canada’s most significant Nickel sulphide discovery in at least a decade, celebrating both the resource industry and our national pastime…

  1. Very impressed with your excellent research Jon any idea what range of nickel grades you think mayb be released anything over 2% is considered high grade and the other metals will only increase the nickel eq. This is extremely exciting…. I’ve been playing the junior mining game for 30 years and subscribed to many newsletters but your boots on the ground and strong conviction of be right sit tight is outstanding bring on those assays!

  13. Thanks, Steve…the tenor of the sulphide at Nickel Mountain is unusually high, so that provides some insight on grade range depending on sulphide content (eg., disseminated, heavy disseminated, semi-massive, massive)…this is a simple concept that seems to be not well understood or appreciated by many investors…you could easily have 2% Nickel and 2% Cu in a section of heavy disseminated sulphides at Nickel Mountain, given the known tenor…the key for GGI is to keep drilling into those sulphides and hone in on the honey patch (massives)…the downhole probe is a great tool to vector into the very rich stuff…

  16. I know I’d like to see the area–I imagine many of us couldn’t fully appreciate its grandeur and beauty any other way…

  17. Welcome to all the new subscribers nice to see some new names and input!

    Comment by Gregh — October 8, 2017 @ 5:39 pm

  18. Jon, I was curious, would you be able tell me if the ‘cone’ is on Ggi property?

    Comment by Gord — October 8, 2017 @ 5:58 pm

  19. The cone is an impressive and fascinating geological feature, Gord, though it has nothing to do with Nickel mineralization in the area (it does, however, support the case for ‘magma highways’). It marks the border between GGI and MTS – about half the cone is GGI’s, the other half belongs to MTS!

    Comment by Jon - BMR — October 8, 2017 @ 6:24 pm

  20. GGI should take in requests to name the lake… What about “Nickel Ninja Lake” ha!

    Comment by TradingAgent — October 8, 2017 @ 6:52 pm

  21. Thanks so much Jon. That is interesting
